Are unscented toiletries mandatory for Umrah?
Yes. Once you make the intention (Niyyah) for Umrah and enter the state of Ihram, using scented soap, shampoo, lotion, wipes, or deodorant is strictly forbidden (Haram). Using scented products will require expiation (Fidya). You must pack 100% fragrance-free/unscented toiletries.
