Al Masmak Palace is a clay and mud-brick fort in the center of old Riyadh (near Deira Souq).
The Story (1902)
King Abdulaziz and his men (40 or 63 soldiers) sneaked back into Riyadh and captured this fort in a dawn raid, marking the start of the unification of Saudi Arabia.
