Just outside the Marwa exit, across the plaza, stands a small beige building.
Significance
- Most historians agree this spot (She'b Banu Hashim) is where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born.
- It converted into a library to preserve it but prevent people from turning it into a shrine.
Can you enter?
- Generally No. It is rarely open to the public.
- What people do: Many pilgrims stand outside to see the location.
- Note: Keep moving. Guards will ask you not to pray at the building (Shirk prevention).
