Seasonal Advice
The Winter (Nov - Feb)
- Pros: Beautiful weather for walking to Quba or doing Ziyarat. You can sit in the courtyard of Masjid Nabawi comfortably.
- Packing: Bring a light jacket or sweater. The marble floors at Fajr time are very cold.
The Summer (Jun - Sep)
- Pros: Hotels might be cheaper (off-season for international tourism, though Hajj falls in this window recently).
- Cons: Heat is dangerous.
- Advice:
- Perform Ziyarat early morning (6 AM - 8 AM).
- Stay in the mosque between Dhuhr and Asr.
- Hydrate constantly with Zamzam.
Rain in Madinah
Rain is rare but magical. It usually consists of short, heavy downpours followed by sun. If it rains, the umbrellas in the Masjid Nabawi courtyard are closed automatically.
