1. Local Laundromats ("Maghsala")
Found in backstreets (Ibrahim Al Khalil Rd, Shisha, Aziziyah).
- Sign: Look for "Steam Ironing" or clothes hanging in windows.
- Cost:
- Thobe/Jubbah: 3-5 SAR.
- Trousers/Shirt: 2-3 SAR.
- Wash & Iron Service: Usually ready in 24 hours.
- Service: They wash, dry, and press professionally.
2. DIY (Hotel Sink)
- Drying: The air in Makkah/Madinah is very dry.
- Tip: Wash your undergarments/socks in the sink at night. Hang them in the bathroom (hotels usually have a retractable line). They will likely be dry by morning.
- Detergent: Buy a small packet of Tide/Arial from Bin Dawood (2-3 SAR).
