King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) has multiple terminals that are far apart (20+ kms drive). Going to the wrong one can cause you to miss your flight.
Terminal Breakdown
| Terminal | Airlines | Facilities |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 1 (New) | Saudia, Flynas, Etihad, Emirates, Qatar, PIA (some flights), British Airways | Haramain Train Station, Aquarium, Luxury Duty-Free |
| North Terminal | Many International budget airlines (Air Arabia, Indigo, Air India Express) | Older facilities, Bus/Taxi only |
| Hajj Terminal | Dedicated Hajj Charters (Seasonal) | Huge tent structure, basic amenities |
Transport Connections
- Terminal 1: Directly connected to the Haramain High-Speed Train via a pedestrian bridge. You can walk from arrivals to the train.
- North Terminal: NO train access. You must take a taxi (Uber/Careem) to the Jeddah Sulaymaniyah station or Jeddah Airport T1 station (approx 20 mins drive) if you want to use the train.
Driver Pickup Points
- Terminal 1: Has a dedicated Uber/Careem pickup zone in the parking garage (Level 1).
- North Terminal: Pickup is usually curbside or in the designated lot (can be chaotic).
Tips
- Check your Ticket: It always prints the terminal code (T1 or N).
- Transfer: There is a shuttle bus between terminals, but it is slow. A taxi is faster (cost ~40-60 SAR).
