On the old Jeddah-Makkah road lies Hudaybiyyah, where the historic treaty was signed.

The Site

  • Masjid Al-Shumaisi: Built near the original location of the tree where the pledge (Bay'at al-Ridwan) took place.
  • Ruins: You can see foundations of an older Ottoman-era structure.

The Camel Milk Experience

The road to Hudaybiyyah is famous for Camel Farms.

  • Experience: You pull over. The bedouin milks the camel right in front of you into a bowl/bottle.
  • Taste: Warm, frothy, and slightly salty. It is a superfood.
  • Cost: 10-20 SAR for a bowl.
  • Warning: Drink it at your own risk if you have a weak stomach (unpasteurized).
