Climbing Archer's Hill (Jabal Ruma): Uhud Strategy

Jabal Ruma is a small mound in the middle of the Uhud battlefield.

The Climb

• It is short but steep/slippery dirt. Wear sneakers.
• From the Top: You get a full 360-degree view. You can see:
  • Mount Uhud (The giant mountain behind).
  • The Cemetery: Where Hamza (RA) and Mus'ab ibn Umayr (RA) are buried.
  • The Battlefield: The flat plain where the cavalry of Khalid ibn Walid (before he became Muslim) attacked.

Stand there and imagine the scene. It is a powerful lesson on following the Prophet's (PBUH) commands, even when victory seems certain.
